Bouteille et verre de vin rouge Château Smith Haut Lafitte

Châteaux by bike
Follow our sports coach, Julien, on a 1.5-hour bike ride through the vineyards of Châteaux Smith Haut Lafitte, Carbonnieux, La Louvière, Larrivet Haut Brion, Haut-Bailly, and Rochemorin. A perfect blend of sport and scenery to explore the region’s most beautiful wine landscapes.

Introduction to oenology
Our Head Sommelier, Aurélien Farrouil, welcomes you to the “Tour de la Dégustation” for a 1.5-hour wine tasting course.
In a warm and friendly atmosphere, he will introduce you to the art of oenology and answer all your questions about wine and tasting.

Escape to the Bay of Arcachon
Departure: Port of Arcachon – 1 hour by car from the hotel
Set sail for an unforgettable day aboard Les Sources de Caudalie’s traditional “pinasse” boat. Drift along the tranquil waters of the bay and discover its wonders: Île aux Oiseaux and its iconic stilt cabins, the majestic Dune du Pilat, the Banc d’Arguin, and finally, the tip of Cap Ferret.

Forest bathing
Rejuvenate in the heart of the woods of Château Smith Haut Lafitte with a guided walk led by José le Piez and Patricia Chatelain. This experience invites you to slow down and reconnect with the present moment through sensory explorations and guided meditations.

Our Easter Activities

Egg hunt
On April 21st at 11:00 am, children are invited to an exciting Easter egg hunt in our gardens. Through a fun-filled course, they will search for chocolate treasures hidden among the spring foliage. A joyful moment to stimulate their curiosity and delight their taste buds.

Pastry class
Immerse yourself in the world of our Pastry Chef Anthony Chenoz and learn to create exceptional desserts.
On April 19th, we offer a special workshop focused on Easter chocolate, followed by lunch at our gastronomic restaurant, La Grand’Vigne.

The water mirror and Place de la Bourse

La Cité du Vin

Dive into the world of wine through interactive exhibitions and enjoy a panoramic view of the city from the belvedere. From April 1st to November 2nd, 2025, the immersive experience Via Sensoria takes you on a sensory journey guided by a sommelier, where art, the rhythms of the seasons, and wine tastings come together.

Castle tours and wine tastings
Saint-Émilion unveils its iconic castles, where historical heritage and winemaking craftsmanship come together with elegance. Between cobbled streets and tastings of fine wines, let yourself be guided through this medieval village, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site, for an experience that is both enriching and delicious.

 

The Royal Tower – Saint-Émilion from above

Climb the 118 steps of the Royal Tower and enjoy breathtaking views over the wine-growing town of Saint-Émilion. This impressive 13th-century keep is a testament to the region’s medieval history.
